Money and communications: ATMs and two bureaux de change are available in the main terminal building. Eating and drinking: Cafés, restaurants, a British pub, a bar, a sandwich bar and a food village are all available. Shopping: There are many retail outlets at the airport, including a duty- and tax-free shop. Luggage: A lost property service is operated by the information desk (tel: (0)1332 852 852). Left-luggage facilities are provided by the individual airlines, on request. Other facilities: These include a first aid room, nursing rooms, children’s play areas and a travel agent.

Porters are available to provide assistance to wheelchair passengers; those wishing to use this service should contact the information desk (tel: (0)1332 852 852). Disabled parking is provided in the short-term car park located 50m (164ft) from the terminal building entrance. There are also disabled toilets, lowered phones and a lift. Wheelchairs and wheelchair-accessible taxis are also available; passengers who require the ambulift for boarding aircraft should notify their airline at the time of booking. Hearing loops are located throughout the terminal.

Parking for more than 4,000 cars is available at the airport. The short-stay car park is located outside the main terminal building, whilst a courtesy shuttle bus transports passengers to/from the medium and long-stay car parks. From Nottingham, take the A52 westbound and join the M1 at junction 25 southbound. Continue southbound and exit at junction 24, then follow signs to the airport.

Bus: There are bus services to Nottingham, Derby and Loughborough (with connections to destinations around Great Britain on the Intercity network) from outside the main Arrivals area. The Kinchbus (tel: (0)1509 815 637; website: www.kinchbus.co.uk) Air-line Shuttle runs to Derby, while Trent Barton (tel: (0)1773 712 265; website: www.trentbarton.co.uk) operate the Rainbow 5 services to Nottingham and Loughborough. The Hilton East Midlands Airport (tel: (0)1509 674 000) is located 3km (2 miles) away and the Express by Holiday Inn (tel: (0)1509 678 000) is on the Pegasus Business Park next to the airport; both provide a shuttle service to/from the airport.
