Transfer between terminals The terminals are situated within walking distance of each other.
Information and Help Desks There are two information desks in all the International Terminal and one in the Domestic Terminal. Staff can provide information on facilities and services available at the airport and on hotels and tourist attractions in Istanbul; they can also assist disabled passengers and those travelling with young children.
Airport Facilities Money and communications: There are ATMs located in both terminals. A bank is located in the Arrivals area in the International Terminal; and in the Arrivals area, there is a post office. Public telephones are available in both terminals. Eating and drinking: There are restaurants, bars and cafés in the Departures and mezzanine areas. Shopping: There are duty-free shops available in the sectioned halls in the International Terminal. There is also a mini market. Luggage: Trolleys are available free of charge. Other facilities: There is a baby-care room in the Departures lounge on the International Terminal.
Disabled Facilities All facilities in the Arrivals hall are located on one level, meaning that disabled passengers can move easily around the Arrivals area. Disabled toilets are available in both terminals and there are lifts to the restaurants on the mezzanine level of the International Terminal. Passengers requiring assistance with boarding aircraft are advised to contact their airline in advance. Wheelchairs are available at the Domestic Terminal, free of charge; passengers should make advance arrangements with their airline. Disabled parking is available free of charge.
Conference and Business Facilities A business centre is available in the CIP Lounge, which is located in Departures in the International Terminal. Passengers wishing to use the business service have access to two lounges, computers, telephones, fax machines and Internet services.
Car Hire AtesTur Rent A Car is represented at the airport; the car hire counter is located in the Arrivals areas of the International and Domestic Terminals, just after the baggage reclaim area.
Car Parking Car parks for both short- and long-term parking are located in front of the terminals. Short-term parking is also available next to the main terminal building.
Driving Directions From Istanbul city centre, take the E-6 express highway or the E-5 highway; follow signs for the airport and take the Pendik/Kurtköy exit.
Public Transport Water: The IDO Sea Bus Port is situated 8km (5 miles) away; this provides connections to the different districts of Istanbul, as well as to neighbouring towns and cities. Rail: The nearest railway connection is 6km (4 miles) away; this provides connections to the different districts of Istanbul, as well as to neighbouring towns and cities. Road: Taxi: Taxis are available 24 hours a day to destinations in and around Istanbul. Bus: There is a regular shuttle bus service between the airport and the city centre (journey time: 30-45 minutes); the service also connects Sabiha Gökçen International Airport and Atatürk International Airport (journey time: 60-70 minutes).

The historic five-star Ottoman hotels, Çiragan Palace (tel: (0)212 258 3377), one-time residence of the Ottoman Sultans on the European shores of the Bosphorus, and Swissôtel - The Bosphorus (tel: (0)212 326 1100) are both located 40km (25 miles) away. The five-star Suadiye Princess Hotel (tel: (0)216 386 3119) is located on the E-6 express highway.
