Getting There By Rail Estación de Tren de Alicante, in Avenida de Salamanca, is the city’s main railway station. The Spanish rail network is operated by RENFE (tel: (902) 24 02 02; website: www.renfe.es). Alicante has good rail links to Madrid (Altaria Trains) and Barcelona (Euromed Trains). Other trains such as the Talgo, link the city with Asturias, Castilla, the Basque Country, Valencia and Montpellier (France). |
