This is for a three-course meal for one excluding drinks, but including tax. Tipping is not common in Bolivia apart from in top-end establishments.


Utama restaurant
There are great views across the city, plus one of the most expensive dinners in town, at this five-star property’s Skyroom restaurant.

La Comedie
This arty French restaurant offers upmarket meals and an international ambiance. The French wines are a perennial favourite.

The only place open 24 hours for a range of snacks, drinks and meals. The window seats offer great people-watching potential.

Café La Terraza
If you’ve brought your laptop with you, the Café La Terraza chain of cafés with branches next to Burger King on the Prado and in Sopocachi (Avenida 20 de Octubre) offer coffees and pastries with free wi-fi Internet access.
