Hotels

Most of Santiago’s hotels are either plush, modern palaces or tired, old buildings serving the lower end of the market. There is little in between in the way of boutique accommodation or inviting B&Bs. Consequently, many of the tourist hotels tend to be a bit pricey and formal, although budget travellers have plenty of choice. Price indications are given per room and in most cases include breakfast.

The hotels below have been classed into four different pricing categories:
$ (up to US$50)
$$ (US$50 to $120)
$$$ (US$120 to $180)
$$$$ (over $180)
