Le Meridien Phoenicia
Built in the 1920s but carefully restored to retain its classical character, this former palazzo is set immediately outside the City walls and features five-star luxury rooms, beautiful public areas, seven acres of manicured grounds and top-class restaurants.

The British
Simple, old-fashioned and cheap, this family-owned and run hotel (established 1930) has a loyal following who enjoy one of the best views on the whole island from its terrace (terrace open to non-residents for lunch and dinner).

Outside Valletta

Fortina Spa Resort
This is the island’s best spa hotel with stunning views across the harbour to Valletta, and a very convenient location next to the Marsamxett Ferry (5 mins to Valletta) and Sliema Ferries for all boat tours.

Hilton
A huge palm-filled atrium, a grand piano in the lounge, a platoon of flunkies, a choice of excellent restaurants, and bedrooms with every comfort known to man - Brad Pitt liked it so much he offered to buy it, just so that he could extend the bar hours.

Juliani
The island’s first boutique hotel, featuring lots of designer style and an excellent restaurant on the premises, located on pretty (albeit very busy) Spinola Bay, conveniently located for the nightlife and restaurants of St Julian’s.
