Grand Canyon National Park
Description
Located in the heart of the American West, the Grand Canyon is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The canyon flows (in terms of river miles) for 365km (227 miles), and reaches a vertical depth of 1829m (6000ft) and a width of 29km (18 miles). Activities within the park include hiking, biking, whitewater rafting, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and fishing. The Grand Canyon is divided into three geographically separated areas: the South Rim, the North Rim and the Inner Canyon.
