Times Square
Description
Located just north of 42nd Street, Times Square has long been associated with theatre and nightlife and all the excitement and glitz of New York City. There is no better way to discover the Big Apple than by going to see a show in a Broadway theatre, located just off Times Square; the area is home to over 50 theatres, around 30 hotels, cinemas, shops, restaurants and bars. Often referred to as the ‘Crossroads of the World’, the city’s theatre district is alight with neon signs and giant TV screens. Always buzzing with energy, it is an ideal place to experience the atmosphere of life on New York’s busy streets. The square is a popular place to spend New Year’s Eve when over half a million people gather to join in the festivities.
