Many hotels in Angola have recently undergone refurbishment, and have air conditioning, a private bath or shower, a telephone, radio and TV. However, there is a general shortage of accommodation, and it is advisable to book well in advance (at least one month prior to departure); accommodation cannot be booked at the airport. Visitors should also note that accommodation in Luanda is expensive. Further information can also be obtained from the Ministry of Hotels & Tourism (see Contact Addresses section).
