Accommodation on Anguilla ranges from luxury-class hotels to guest houses, apartments, villas, mid-range hotels and cottages. Many establishments are situated on the beach and offer boating, snorkelling, fishing and scuba diving equipment. Approximately 16 hotels, seven villas and four guest houses/inns are currently members of the Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association although there are 50 allied members. Note: A government tax of 8 per cent is levied on all hotel bills as well as a 10 per cent service charge.
